The Newcomb Hall Ballroom is located on the third floor of Newcomb Hall and hosts a large range of events such as banquet dinners, speaking engagements, and resource fairs.

Reservation Scheduling
Additional time is automatically added to your reservation in order to give our staff proper time to setup and breakdown your events. When entering your event time, be aware that you will automatically have that additional time added to your reservation.
Ballroom Auto Setup & Breakdown Times: 3 hour auto setup time and half hour breakdown
Space Specific Policies
- Stage pieces are rated for presentations, speakers, and non-dancing performances - they are not rated for and may not be used for dancing
- ADA access to stage available upon request (must give 3 weeks' notice)
- Outside event furniture (including lounge furniture) may not be brought into the space without the prior approval of Event Management
- Access to back of house areas (specifically area through doors on left side of the ballroom when entering from the ballroom lobby) is prohibited and not included in reservation
Food Policy
- UVA Catering is the only approved caterer for this space. No other food or drink may be served in the Ballroom. Event organizers may request an exemption to this policy if UVA Catering is not able to prepare food necessary for the event - email Carol Anne Abbott at [email protected] for this request
